Durham Steps for Life Walk – May 6

OPG Pickering Nuclear is hosting; Durham Steps for Life Walk on Sunday, May 6, 2018, registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Pickering Nuclear Information Centre with the walk commencing at 10 a.m. The walk begins and ends at the Pickering Nuclear Information Centre then heads west along the waterfront trail with a turnaround at the east spit. Great opportunity to profile PARA and the boat too.

Typically between 200 and 300 walkers children included, weather really dictates attendance. A scavenger hunt is also part of the walk happy to include a clue or question to be answered at PARA tent. 

This is an awareness walk and fundraiser for Threads of Life, a National registered charity dedicated to supporting families of workplace tragedy.  All proceeds raised go directly to the Threads of Life Family Support program. 

Durham Steps for Life Walk is a partnership of OPG, Ministry of Labour, Durham District School Board, Workplace Safety &Prevention Services, Safe Communities Pickering Ajax (SCOPA), Home Depot, Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation and Threads of Life.
